Welcome to the Lone Star Heart & Vascular website (www.LoneStarHeart.org). These terms explain how Lone Star Heart and Vascular uses text messaging to communicate with patients, including message types, consent, and how to manage your preferences.

What We Send
When you give us your mobile number and agree to text contact at check-in (on our kiosk or digital intake form) or on our paper consent, Lone Star Heart and Vascular Clinic, PA may text you: appointment reminders and confirmations, pre-visit instructions, one-time sign-in codes for your patient portal, and notices that a result, message or document is waiting in your patient portal. We do not send marketing messages, and we never include your medical information in a text.
Message Frequency Varies
Message frequency varies with your appointments and care - typically a few messages a month.
Message and Data Rates May Apply
Your mobile carrier's standard charges apply; we do not charge for texts.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To Stop Messages
Reply "STOP" to any message and we will stop texting that number. You can also tell our front desk or change your preferences in the patient portal. Stopping texts does not affect your care; we will reach you by phone, mail or the portal instead.

Consent is Not a Condition of Care
You can be our patient without agreeing to texts.
Privacy
Your mobile number is used only for the practice's own messages described here. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or texting consent with third parties for their marketing. See our Notice of Privacy Practices and privacy policy at lonestarheart.org/privacy.
